Whenever people complained to me about their sharehouse experience when they were studying, at some point they always mentioned how irritating they found it when their housemates had their tv or stereo up really loud. I thought that might irritate me too, but I just find it really comforting to hear other people in the house, moving about around me, hearing new music and the sound of them laughing at whatever they’re watching. Maybe it has something to do with coming from a big family, I don’t know.
